The mission of the Division of Finance is to ensure fiscal responsibility throughout the university, while providing optimal service to all individuals managing financial operations.

The division exemplifies a culture that ensures financial transparency, timely dissemination of information, rigorous analytics to facilitate executive decision making, and effective allocation of resources that align with the university’s strategic priorities.

Working as a team, we strive to serve the FIU and external communities through our various departments, including the Office of the Controller, Financial Planning/ Strategic Development, Purchasing Services, and Treasury Management. We consider all university finance and budget managers an integral part of our team, and we work in coordination with them to achieve the university’s objectives.
