David H. Snider is the Interim Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Division of Finance and Administration. He is responsible for the management and administration of financial, facility, and business service operations of the University. Mr. Snider is a seasoned financial, legal, and academic executive with over 16 years of leadership experience in higher education and public finance.
Prior to his appointment to this position, he was the Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Florida International University (FIU) and served as a strategic partner to the CFO, guiding complex financial operations, capital planning, and institutional resource optimization across a $2B+ public research university.
Mr. Snider led financial oversight for FIU’s Direct Support Organizations and played a pivotal role in the development of high-impact ventures such as the FIU Hotel, Conference Center, Alumni Center, and student and workforce housing. He is a trusted leader in managing Public-Private Partnerships (P3s), with transactional experience on projects valued up to $240 million. His expertise spans strategic modeling, budget systems design, debt analysis, and enterprise reporting using platforms like PeopleSoft, Oracle PBCS, Tableau, and Power BI.
He also directed the Office of Auxiliary and Enterprise Development, overseeing business planning and revenue strategy for over 300 university operations. Under his leadership, the Central Reservation Office and the FIU operations of the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival have grown into multimillion-dollar enterprises.
In addition to his administrative role, Mr. Snider serves as an Instructor at FIU’s College of Business and Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, teaching finance, law, and graduate-level hospitality courses. He also operates a private legal practice focused on real estate, contracts, and estate planning.
Mr. Snider holds a JD from FIU College of Law, an MS in Finance from FIU’s Chapman Graduate School of Business, and a BSBA in Finance from the University of Florida. He is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar and an active contributor to the legal and academic communities through the Dade County and American Bar Associations.
