The Florida International University Purchasing Card (ProCard) Program is designed to provide faculty and staff with the ability to place orders for supplies and services and for University authorized travel. The intent is to reduce the time and paperwork required for small dollar purchase requisitions, vouchers and reimbursements that are currently being processed through the University’s financial system. The Purchasing Card Program is designed to improve efficiency in processing and completing low-dollar tax-exempt purchases of approved commodities from vendors/suppliers that accept the VISA credit card.
UPDATE (May 15, 2009):
Please note that the Procurement Card (ProCard) Program will be undergoing significant changes within the next month. The program will be referred to as the "Credit Card Solutions Program", which will allow three (3) types of credit cards to be available to the University staff and faculty:

Commodity Card - University administered credit card designed to be issued to authorized staff for departmental purchases of supplies and services. No travel expenses will be authorized on these cards.

Travel & Entertainment Card (T&E Card) - Individually billed credit card for individual staff travel and authorized entertainment transactions. This card will be able to utilize Foundation Funds for reimbursements.

Departmental Travel Card - University administered credit card designed to be issued to authorized departmental staff which will be used for authorized student, non-employee travel and for travel by University staff that may not qualify for the T&E Card.
New ProCard Cardholder Applications will no longer be accepted at this time.
