The New Features of the Chart of Accounts (CoA) Redesign project delineates the changes that are coming in the near future by:
Consistent use of departments across modules
Continued use of a value that represents a specific Chartfield string
Budgeting/tracking by Panther ID, Task and Cost Sharing
Enhanced reporting capabilities for department consolidations and new Chartfields
These departments were inactivated prior to July 1, 2012; all account balances were moved to the "Mapped To" department which was identified to remain active and converted to the new Chartfield structure. The Activity Nbr corresponding to the "Mapped To" department can be found in the crosswalk.
