The Office of the Controller is lead under the direction of Thom Davis, CPA, Associate Vice President and Controller. It consists of financial reporting, accounting, asset management and property control, tax compliance, accounting information systems, travel, accounts payable, and student financial services.
The Office of the Controller is dedicated to supporting the teaching, research and service missions of the FIU community by providing efficient and effective financial and administrative services, by enabling access to information and resources, by supporting internal controls and regulatory compliance and by promoting the financial health and security of each unit and of the University as a whole.
To create a “best practices” environment to support the fiduciary responsibility of each unit and the teaching, research and service mission of the FIU community.
